#13 How Corporate DEI Programs Exploit POC

And vice versa. Which means DEI is a game in which everyone loses.

In this podcast, I explain how Corporate DEI initiatives exploit everyone involved, including, ironically, the very people they claim they are helping (People of Color). I use, as an example, Chief Experience Design Officer, Walter T. Geer’s Oct. LinkedIn post in which he says “NO WHITE EXECS ARE SHOWING UP” to panels in which POC speakers share their perspectives. I explain why I think Walter has a valid point - namely, that Ad Agencies and Corporations love to talk about social justice and DEI but there’s a gap between what they say and what they do. But per Walter’s question, what’s the solve? I will offer my humble advice.
